Archiving Tests, Items, and Standards Publications

You can archive the tests, items, and standards publications that you do not wish to use anymore. Archived content can be restored or permanently deleted. Archiving content has the following effects:

• If you archive a Published test, you can no longer administer it to students.
• If you archive any item, you can no longer add that item to future tests; however, it will still be available on any tests that already include it.
• If you archive a standards publication, you can no longer align its standards to future items; however, they will still be aligned to any items already associated with them.
• Archived content cannot be shared. If you archive content that is already shared, it will become archived for the sharing recipients as well.
• Archiving a test does not automatically archive the items on that test. Items must be archived individually.

To archive a test, item, or standards publication:

1.In the appropriate table, mark the checkbox for each test, item, or standards publication you wish to archive. You can mark the checkbox in the table header to include every row on the current page.

2.Click above the table.

3.In the warning message that appears, click OK. The status of the selected content changes to Archived.

To restore an archived test, item, or standards publication:

1.In the filter panel to the left of the table, mark the Archived checkbox in the Status drop-down list.

2.On the table, mark the checkbox for the content you wish to restore.

3.Click above the table and then click OK. The restored content reverts to its original status at the time that it was archived.

Alert: If you archive a test with Draft items and then modify those items while the test is archived, you may need to add the modified items back to the test if you restore it.

To permanently delete an archived test, item, or standards publication:

1.In the filter panel to the left of the table, mark the Archived checkbox in the Status drop-down list.

2.Mark the checkbox for the archived content you wish to delete.

3.Click above the table.

4.In the warning message that appears, click OK. The selected content is removed from your Homepage.

Alert: This action cannot be reversed.
