Silence Text-to-Speech (TTS) with the Text Editor
You can silence Text-to-Speech (TTS) for a paragraph or paragraphs in any stimulus or item prompt. This affects students who have TTS enabled in the Test Delivery System (TDS).
1.Select the paragraphs for which you want to silence TTS, or place your text cursor in a single paragraph.
2.Select in the toolbar. An outline appears around the paragraph or paragraphs, indicating that TTS has been silenced.
3.Optional: To restore TTS, place your text cursor in a silenced paragraph and select again. The outline disappears. Alternatively, you can right-click (Ctrl + click) in the paragraph and select Restore TTS.
