ATLAS Classroom Tool User Guide

This guide provides an overview of the tasks and features available in ATLAS Classroom Tool. The ATLAS Classroom Tool system is a content creation site educators can use to create their own standard-aligned items and tests. The tests created in ATLAS Classroom Tool can be administered online in the TA Interface or administered as paper test booklets.

This guide includes the following sections:

• Navigate the Classroom Tool Site: This section explains how to use the quick links on the ATLAS Classroom Tool Dashboard and the filters on the content tabs to find and manage items and tests.
• Create Items That You Can Add to Tests: This section explains how to create original items by filling out templates in the item builder page. It also explains how to align items to standards.
• Build Tests to Be Administered to Students: This section explains how to create original tests. In ATLAS Classroom Tool, you can either create a test manually by drafting or selecting each item you add to the test, or you can automatically generate a test based on the standards you want it to assess.
  • This section also explains how to publish tests to the TA Interface for online testing and how to generate test booklets for paper testing. This section also explains how to view scores and results.
• Work with the Items and Tests Available to You: This section explains how to perform various actions on your original items and tests, such as editing, copying, and labeling them.
• Share Your Content with Other Educators: This section explains how to share your items and tests with other educators so that they may co-author the content or use it for themselves.
• Submit Items for Review: This section explains how authorized users submit items to a review group for peer review. It also explains how authorized users review and approve the submitted items.
• The appendices provide information about the tables in content tabs and the text editor toolbar in item templates.
