Add Test Items from Your Available Libraries

When building a test, you can add existing items from your available item libraries.

The item libraries may include items in a shared library (such as ClearSight Interim), items you created, and items shared with you. If you plan to administer a test on paper, you should not add any items with multimedia.

1.To add items from the library, select Add from Library on a blank test page in the test builder. The Filters panel appears.

• You can add multiple items to your test at one time by selecting the checkboxes beside the Add button. When you are finished, select Add Items to Test in the toolbar to add the selected items. The item list under the Layout panel on the left will be updated.

2. To display the available item or items, select the appropriate filter options and select Apply Filters. The filter options available here are the same ones that are available on the Items tab.

• To change the selected filters, select Show Filters in the corner.

3. To add an item to the current test page, select Add for the item you want to add.

• You can also add multiple items to your test at one time by selecting the checkboxes beside the Add button. When you are finished, select Add Items to Test in the toolbar to add the selected items. The item list under the Layout panel on the left will be updated.

4. In the preview window that pops up, select Add Item to Test.

• If you want to edit a Draft library item that you added, you can select its thumbnail in the Layout panel on the left and then select Edit in the top-right corner. You cannot edit the content of Published items you add to the test.
• Any edits you make to a Draft item on this test will affect the same item on any other tests it belongs to (and vice versa).
