About the Cross-Sectional Report

When the Cross-Sectional Report is available, you can access an institution’s performance, irrespective of associated or enrolled students, on a single test family across multiple test reasons. Here, an institution can be a teacher, school, or LEA. This helps you understand how the institution’s performance has improved or declined across student populations.

The Cross-Sectional Report does not track a particular set of students. The set of students may vary across test reasons, depending on which ones were associated with or enrolled in the institution, as well as which ones took the tests at the time.

To open a Cross-Sectional Report:

  1. When accessing either a teacher-, a school-, or a LEA-level Assessment Report for a test that has a Cross-Sectional Report available, select the Build Cross-Sectional Report button in the Features & Tools menu. The Cross-Sectional Report window opens, displaying report options.

  2. From the list of school years and test reasons, select up to three test reasons you wish to compare.

  3. Select Generate Report. The report appears, displaying data for the test family to which the test belongs.
