About the Proctor Clock
For test sessions with certain timing attributes, a Proctor Clock appears at the top of the TA Site.
The Proctor Clock begins counting after students
When the Proctor Clock reaches the allotted time for the session, the session enters a grace period to account for any interruptions or delays that may have occurred during the testing process. Once the graced period ends, the session stops automatically, and all student tests are submitted for scoring.
Note: If you need to stop a session before the Proctor Clock runs out, you should make note of the remaining time. Since sessions may not be re-opened, you will need to start a new session. The Proctor Clock will start over from the beginning, so you must stop the session manually when the students have tested for the allotted time. On the Student Testing Site, the clock displays the remaining time correctly when the student logs back in to their test. See the section Stopping Test Sessions and Logging Out for information on how to stop a session.
