Authoring Tests and Items
This section explains how to create original test and item content in AIRWays Authoring.
Content Editor Layout
The Test Content Editor allows you to create content for tests and their associated items, while the Item Content Editor allows you to create content for items individually.
Figure 1 provides an overview of the Test Content Editor layout. The Item Content Editor layout is similar, but it has fewer toolbar options and does not include the Test Outline panel.
Figure 1: Test Content Editor
The Test Content Editor includes the following sections:
- Toolbar: Allows you to enter test properties, save a test, preview a test, and publish a test. To return to the Homepage, click Home in this toolbar.
- Test Outline Panel: Allows you to organize the items that are included in a test.
- Editing Panel: Used to construct the test page and author item content. The Editing panel can display items in edit mode or preview mode.
- Item Panel: Allows you to insert items from a library or select templates for authoring original items.
