Specifying Test Properties

When creating a test, you can specify various properties for it, including the test name, by clicking Test Properties in the toolbar. A menu appears, allowing you to specify the following:

• Test Name: Allows you to enter a unique name for the test.
• Description: A user-friendly description of the test. You can use this description to search for the test on the Homepage.
• Grade Level: Allows you to select the grade levels associated with the test. If you mark the Use grades from items checkbox, the test's associated grade level is automatically determined by the grade levels selected for the items on that test.
• Keywords: Allows you to enter terms you can use to search for the test on the Homepage. To add a new keyword, enter it in the field and click Add. To remove a keyword, click beside that keyword.
• Security: If you mark the Hide Items in Reports checkbox, users will not be able to view the content for any test items in student performance reports for this test.
• Tools: Allows you to select which tools will be available to students in the test. For a description of the available tools and their settings, see Appendix C.
