Testing an Assertion

You can test an assertion to determine whether it is functioning as expected. Note that you cannot test an assertion while it has an INVALID status.

To test an assertion:

1. Right-click in an empty region of the Assertions Canvas and select Test Assertion from the menu. The Evaluator window appears (Figure 192), listing a value for each variable included in the assertion.
2. To set a variable value, click next to the Variable Value field, select the value, and click Done.

3. Click Evaluate. The test results appear in the bottom of the window.
4. Optional: Select different values and repeat the test.
5. To close the window, click Close.
