Modifying an Assertion

You can modify an existing assertion's properties and relationships.

To modify an assertion:

• Select the assertion you wish to modify by clicking its name in the Assertions panel. Do any of the following:
  • To modify the assertion's properties, right-click it in the Assertions Canvas and select Edit Properties from the menu. You can edit the name and description in the window that pops up.
  • To modify the value of a constant in the assertion, right-click the constant element in the Assertion Canvas and select Edit Constant Value from the menu. Using the value field or dropdown list, edit the value, then click outside the element in the Assertions Canvas.
  • To add additional operators, variables, or constants to the assertion, follow the instructions in Creating an Assertion.
  • To copy and paste individual elements or groups of elements in the assertion, follow the instructions in Copying and Pasting an Assertion or Its Components.
  • To delete individual elements or groups of elements from the assertion, follow the instructions in Deleting an Assertion or Its Components.
