Administering Online Tests

The TA Site allows you to administer proctored assessments to students.

For all test sessions, the TA Site generates a unique session ID that students can use to join the session.

The basic workflow for administering tests is as follows:

1.The Proctor selects the required test and starts the session.

2.The Proctor provides the session ID to the students.

3.Students sign in and request approval for tests.

4.First TA Approval: The Proctor reviews students’ requests and approves them to enter the test session (Admit Students).

Note: At this point the student is unable to start the test as they will require a second approval to begin the test.

5.Second TA Approval: When all students have been approved to enter the test session, the Proctor will approve for the test to begin (Start Test).

6.Students complete their tests in the allotted time. When the allotted time is up, the student will then be logged out and the test will automatically be submitted.

7.Students complete their tests in the allotted time. When the allotted time is up, the student will then be logged out and the test will automatically be submitted.

8.Once all students in the session have used all their allotted time, the Proctor will be notified. The session will automatically close and the Proctor will be given a dashboard view of everyone in that session.

For information about the testing process from a student’s perspective, see the sections Signing in to the Student Testing Site and Overview of the Student Testing Site.
