Adding and Managing Interactions
An interaction is an element shown to a student, typically one that the student can interact with. Some interactions are non-interactive and cannot be scored. For example, Rich Text and Slideshow interactions are only for stems and stimuli. Score Input interactions are also a special case, as they are shown to the test administrator instead of the student.
This section explains how to add, copy and paste, rearrange, edit, and delete interactions in the item body. These instructions apply to both items and stimuli.
The first time you open IAT for an item or stimulus, the item body is empty by default, as in Figure 2. You can add one interaction or many. The procedure is the same for all interaction types.
You cannot add or manage interactions when IAT is in read-only mode, but you can click View at the upper-right corner of an interaction in the Item Body Canvas to view the interaction editor.
