Guide for Observers

This section of the guide provides instructions for using the Standard Setting Tool as an Observer.

Observers cannot perform any actual tasks in the Standard Setting Tool. However, you can view the ordered scoring assertion booklet An ordered scoring assertion booklet (OSAB) is a set of test items, within each of which the assertions are ordered from easiest to most difficult, based on actual student performance data. The items themselves are not ordered from easiest to most difficult., psychometric feedback, moderation charts, and assertion mapping summaries available to Panelists.

• To view each item in the booklet, click in the top-left corner.
  • You can also select an item number from the Now Viewing drop-down to jump to any item in the booklet.
