Monitoring Students' Testing Progress
After you approve students for testing, you can monitor the testing progress for each student logged in to your session from the tables displayed on the TA Site (see Figure 1).
At the start of the test, all your students will be listed in the Students Testing Successfully table. If TDS detects that a student requires assistance, the Students Who May Need Help table appears at the top. This can occur when a student’s test has been paused due to a security issue, such as the launch of a forbidden application.
Table 2 describes the columns in the student test progress tables. To sort the table by a given column, click that column header.

Opp # | Opportunity number for the student’s selected test. |
Time |
Depending on a student’s timing test setting, the timer in this column indicates the approximate remaining time in the student’s test. For students with certain extended timing settings, this clock will show elapsed time in the student’s test. There may be a brief delay between the student’s test and the time displayed in this column. |
Progress | Indicates the student's test progress. |
Status |
Current test status for each student in the session. If TDS detects that a student’s test may be experiencing connection issues, it displays a warning icon ( |
Test Settings |
Indicates whether the student is testing with the standard (default) test settings or testing with custom accommodations. To view a student’s settings for the current test opportunity, click |
Actions |
The Pause button in this column pauses a student’s test. If a student's test pauses, a more info icon displays in the Status column that provides information about how the test became paused. However, the more info icon is not displayed if the Proctor pauses a student’s test. For more information, see the section Pausing a Student's Test. |
